- Portuguese rights to The Moonlit Cage have been purchased by Bertrand Editora.

- Headline Publishers has produced a website for In a Far Country.  It contains a variety of information: an interview with Linda, an article on sati, an extract from the book, a reading group discussion guide with questions, and a competition to win a day spa package at Shymala Ayuveda in London.  The website can be found at www.readingcircle.co.uk/far-country.html.

- Linda signed copies of In a Far Country at Book Expo in Toronto at the McArthur & Co booth.

- She has been nominated for a Winnipeg Arts Council 2008 Award, in the "Making a Mark" category, which celebrates a professional artist in mid-career who is receiving critical recognition for excellence in their art practice in Winnipeg and beyond.

- Dutch rights to In a Far Country have been purchased by Unieboek

- Linda traveled across Morocco researching her next book, which has the working title of Majorelle Blue. She went from Tangier in the north, through Rabat and Casablanca into Marrakech, and finally journeyed across the High Atlas Mountains to the Sahara Desert.

From there, by camel and 4X4, she crossed the south-east Saraha to a nomad camp close to the Algerian border.
